Dr. Jennifer Pérez is associate professor at the E.T.S. Ingeniería de Sistemas Informáticos (ETSISI) of The Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid-UPM). She is member of the System and Software Technology Research Group (SYST) since 2007. She received her PhD degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in 2006, and is recipient of the best thesis Award in Computer Science and Telecommunications of the UPV 2006-2007.
She is lecturer of Software Construction and Evolution, Software Architectures, and Cloud Computing at the "Software Engineering Degree", the “Msc in Computation Science and Technologies” and the “MSc in Development of Applications and Services for Smartphones” of the ETSISI, UPM. In addition, she supervises PhD. Thesis under the “PhD. Program on COmputing Science and Technology for smArt Cities” of the UPM. In addition, she is involved in several Innovative Education Projects related with Software Engineering solutions since 2010.
Since 2001, she is participating in several European and national projects related to Software Engineering and ICT on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), such as Smart Grids, Smart Cities, etc. Since 2007 she is member of AENOR, the Spanish association for standardization in the technical subcommittee AEN/CNT71 SC-07: Software Engineering and Information Systems. In addition, she was the representative of UPM in the European Technological Platform of NESSI (Networked European Software and Services Initiative) from 2010 until 2012.
Her research interests are focused on Software Architectures (Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), Event-Driven Service-Oriented Architectures (EDSOA), etc), Cloud Computing, Component-Based Software Development (CBSD), Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD), Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE), Model-Driven Development (MDD), Software Evolution, Dynamic Evolution and Agile methodologies. She is referee of journals and program/organization committee member of several well-known workshops and conferences about Software Engineering.
