Development of tools and methods of support for a framework that incorporates open innovation in the development of software intensive systems.

 

This project will address the role of innovation in the development of intensive systems software, the motivation to adopt this model as part of the development process and how it can be incorporated. Open innovation could be described as a combination of internal and external ideas with internal and external paths to market with the aim of making progress in the development of new technologies. Agile methodologies are beginning to introduce the innovation as a natural aspect of the process of agile development. From a technical perspective innovation can be introduced in the development as part of the requirements identification phase. Besides the technical aspects, the end-user and consumer acquire innovation models special relevance. The modeling framework will be made using the standard ISO/IEC 24744:2007. The second element which will be considered in the definition of the framework will be the planning of releases. Moreover, it has studied if the variability of products has influence in the specification process. A set of tools will be developed to support the framework of software innovation. Existing tools that are available for the project will also be considered.
